The week of July 13-17, 2010 I joined certified auctioneers from all over the world to attend the 61st International Certified Auctioneers Conference & Show in Greensboro, North Carolina. This year’s conference was hosted by the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) at the Greensboro Sheraton Hotel Four Seasons in North Carolina. The National Auctioneers Association is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to the real estate auction profession and general auction industry.
This year subject topic Experts and Certified Auctioneers delivered over 50 educational seminars. Class topics ranged from online technology, real estate auctions, appraisals, business liquidations and social networking. Additionally, attendees are able to network with National Auctioneers representing a diverse range of industries.
Annually, over a quarter-trillion dollars in property, by Real Estate Auction, and personal assets are sold by auctioneers. The Real Estate auction industry continues to grow, becoming a popular method for selling goods and services. The auction industry is vast and diverse with national auctioneers specializing in a variety of markets, such as art, antiques, automobiles, business liquidations, machinery and heavy equipment, real estate auction, personal property, and benefit/fundraising.
