(Earl) and his devoted wife, Betty, raised their two sons on this hilltop and founded a unique, thriving business that continues to this day. Selling fresh, choose-and-cut Christmas trees to families and businesses throughout South Georgia and North Florida, this is the first Christmas Tree Farm in Southern Georgia and has provided a wide variety of trees to the citizens of this area for more than 5 decades, forming Christmas memories for several generations of local patrons who bring their entire family for an outing to choose the perfect tree for this important Season and for their homes.

Trees from this farm have decorated everything from local banks, churches, businesses and homes to the Plains, Georgia home of former President Jimmy Carter during his administration in the White House. The “pack house” that sits to the Southeast of the home on this parcel is the site in which Earl designed, developed, patented and manufactured his unique “Hambrick’s Handy Stand”, a very popular Christmas tree stand still in use by some patrons of the farm.

The business (not included in this sale) continues to operate today, having been maintained by Betty Hambrick for several years after Earl’s passing in 1982 and, now, in recent years, by the eldest son, John Hambrick.
