Certified Auctioneers regularly conduct Oregon real estate auctions for owners of Oregon coastal property for sale, Oregon timberlands, and Oregon farmlands.  The Oregon coastline includes 363 miles of diverse terrain.  These rugged cliffs, evergreen forests, large dunes, and sandy beaches are open to the public.  Gorgeous Oregon real estate for sale lies immediately east of these areas and in the Oregon timber forests.

Oregon's climate is ideal for the production of numerous crops.  More than 16 million acres of the state are devoted to farming and ranching.  The Oregon real estate available through Oregon land auctions falls into three distinct growing areas:  the Oregon coast, the Willamette Valley, and Eastern and Southern Oregon.  In 2008, the 38,600 Oregon farms averaged 425 acres each.

The diverse 2,000 types of Oregon soils yield a variety of agricultural products, which account for 69 percent of the state's total sales.  Farmers export a third of the production outside the USA and another 50 percent sent to other states.  Leading crops include greenhouse and nursery starts, hay, grass seed, wheat, potatoes, Christmas trees, storage onions, and pears.

The state ranks No. 1 for the production of blackberries, hazelnuts, loganberries, black raspberries, ryegrass seed, orchard grass seed, crimson clover, fescue seed, boysen and young berries, sugar beets for seed, red clover seed, potted florist azaleas, Christmas trees, Dungeness crab, and storage onions.  It ranks No. 2 for the production of peppermint, snap beans for processing, hops, spearmint, and red raspberries.

Livestock and poultry bring in 31 percent of the total sales in the state.  Important livestock commodities are beef cattle and dairy products.  Other sources of income come from beef by-products such as marshmallows, soap, footballs, mayonnaise, candles, photo film, and pharmaceutical supplies.  In addition, the commercial fishing industry produces ground fish, crab, shrimp, tuna, salmon, and oysters.

Oregon is home to approximately 3.8 million people.  The state capital is Salem and the largest city is Portland with 570,000 residents.  The state borders Washington (across the Columbia River), Idaho to the east (partially across the Snake River), Nevada and California to the south, and the Pacific Ocean on the west.
