New Mexico land auctions conducted by Certified Auctioneers offer property owners a highly desirable method to sell their New Mexico real estate for top prices.  With its geographical diversity, New Mexico real estate auctions serve the state well.

Farm auctions are popular as over 60 percent of real estate in New Mexico is farmland.  The average size of a New Mexico farm is 3,249 acres.  The success of New Mexico farms is partially due to the sunny weather in the high-desert clime.  The temperature swings widely day to night, allowing a mean annual soil temperature of 51 degrees.  Wind is common.

Over a million acres of New Mexico have Penistaja soils, the official soil of the State of New Mexico.  Penistaja soils are excellent for growing the grasses and forage used for livestock grazing and wildlife habitat.  Moreover, 89 percent of the state's 46-million acres of farmland is pastureland.

In 2007, there were 1.5 million head of cattle and 130,000 sheep living in New Mexico.  In fact, livestock and livestock products comprise one of the largest industries in the state, producing over $3 billion in revenue in 2007.  The top revenue builder, the dairy industry with 340,000 cows, produced $1.3 billion and the beef industry produced $1.3 billion.

Top 2007 crops were hay, chili pepper, peanuts, cotton, and onions.  Production on 350,000 acres yielded 1.55 million tons of hay.  Another 6,300 acres produced $63.4 million worth of onions.  Farmers also yielded 49,000 dry tons of chili pepper worth $28.68 million, 35-million pounds of peanuts, and 98,000 bales of cotton worth over $38 million.

New Mexico is home to approximately two million residents.  Santa Fe is the state capital but a fourth of the residents live in Albuquerque, the largest city.  New Mexico borders Colorado on the north, Oklahoma to the northeast, Texas to the east and southeast, Mexico to the south, Arizona to the west and Utah on the northwest corner.

United Country Real Estate has offices at the following locations in New Mexico with the ability to host and produce auction events:  Alamogordo, Ange Fire, Chama, Farmington, Las Vegas, Logan, Magdelena, Portales, Rodeo, Silver City, and Tularosa.
