Nebraska Real Estate Auctions
Land auctions
for Nebraska real estate are appropriate for selling large parcels of tillable farmland.  Nebraska farmlands and Nebraska ranches extend over 93 percent of the total land in the states.  There are almost 23 million acres of rangeland and pastureland, half located in the Sandhills.  Certified Auctioneers from United Country Real Estate are keeping up with a seller trend to use Nebraska land auctions to sell properties.

Located on the Great Plans of the Midwestern United States, abundant underground aquifers fortify Nebraska real estate.  Almost 50 percent of the cropland harvested in 2007 was irrigated.  Over 90,000 registered and active irrigation wells supply water to over 8.5 million acres of cropland and pasture.  Rich with natural resources, Nebraska land for sale is accessible to approximately 24,000 miles of rivers and streams flowing through the state.

There are 47,400 farms and ranches in the state at an average of 962 acres each.  From 2004-2008, the average net income per farm totaled $65,279.  Top-producing counties are Cumings, Dawson, Custer, Phelps, and Lincoln.  The state ranked No. 2 of 50 states in ethanol production capacity with a 1.8-billion gallon capacity.  Ethanol production utilized forty percent of the state's 2008 corn crops.

In addition to its large agricultural sector, Nebraska ranchers produce beef and pork.  Half of the Nebraska farms raised livestock or poultry.  In 2008, the livestock industry accounted for 48 percent of the total agricultural receipts.
